Shalom 04:13
There is a shalom river That flows down from the throne It fills every valley low Come death, come sorrow Come hell…. come high water CHORUS Shalom… Shalom Shalom… Shalom Peace … be with you all There is a shalom river Every root drinks till full And it gives every flower Every leaf, Every branch, every seed, every fruit There is a shalom river That washes every bone It floods right in to mind and soul You fear not tomorrow And today…. Heavenly joy

about

“Shalom” is taken from the root word shalam, which means, “to be safe in mind, body, or estate.” It speaks of completeness, fullness, or a type of wholeness that encourages you to give back — to generously re-pay something in some way. (for more: firm.org.il/learn/the-meaning-of-shalom/)

I wrote this song during a season of personal trial clinging to its truth and experiencing its Joy. I have been sitting on it for a while trying to decide when and how to release it...

My City, (Austin, TX) has been under siege from a serial bomber... this morning I woke to the news that the reign of terror had ended. The relief was palpable.

As I reflected on the events of the past three weeks, I was encouraged by the truth in this song in a new way.... yes, there is evil in the world... an unspeakable cloud of darkness that at times surrounds us.... but there is a LIGHT that pierces its suffocating effect and obliterates its substance.

We witnessed that happen in Austin today.... and it is a battle worth fighting for.

I hope that this song encourages you to be the light... to fight for truth and goodness.... to give and receive Shalom.

Pay what you can afford.... and share the Shalom with your friends :)
